A public service annoucement

I don't want to publicize something terrible, but I think it's one duty to talk about safety nowadays. Yesterday, Seri posted that she's been robbed, the dangerous thing is that she was robbed inside a car.

Now this may seem unlikely to happen to you, but believe me, I've heard stories, from friends, families even strangers that cases like this are on the rise. The scenario is simple, the crime always all the time occurred to single lady in a car, stopping at a traffic light, with handbag or valuables on the passenger's side. Motorcycles come rushing to the passenger's side, break the window and grab everything.

Although, most of this crime occurred at dark and secluded places, there were reports that it also occurred at a busy stops. The worse part is that the victim was sprayed by paper spray to paralyze them.

Now, here are some safety tips. First of all, don't travel alone, and if you have to, do put away your belongings where it can't be grabbed from the outside. Next is to always remember that those things can be replace, but your life can't, so don't fight, unless you know some wicked martial art. Next is to identify the perpetrator, if you can't make up the face, try to remember small details, height, skin colour, what kind of bike, the plate number, every details help.

And remember for those muslims, always say bismillah every time you enter your car, I know it's easy, but the easiest thing that we always forget.

Anyway, stay safe, let us hope what happened to Seri can be avoided by you and your close friends and families.
