83rd Oscar's winners

The 83rd Oscar was held in Los Angeles today, and hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco, the first in Oscar's history where a guy and a girl hosted the show.

Anne and James were funny, but most of the time I felt like it's a one woman show from Anne. But the usually boring Oscar is a lil bit light this year, yes Anne and James helps, but I think it's because of the different things you can see in the Oscar this year, where you usually can't see performances in the Oscar, you can see it this year, and the presenters are from the veterans that had experiences to present, so they aren't that boring.

Plus, you got to see Anne singing and dissing Hugh Jackman, hehe. There's also a segment, you could call that, where it just shows that AutoTune makes everyone sings perfect. Well, you would have to watch it to believe it.

So, if you haven't seen the movie mention in the nominees, you should, they are incredibly good, and this year nominees for Best Motion Picture are just so strong, that I feel like one winner is just not enough.

Here's the list. For more info, go to this link.

Best Motion Picture: The King's Speech (totally deserve this)

Best Director: Tom Hooper for The King's Speech

Best Actor: Colin Firth in The King's Speech (expected)

Best Actress: Natalie Portman in Black Swan (expected)

Best Supporting Actress: Melissa Leo in The Fighter

Best Original Screenplay: The King's Speech

Best Adapted Screenplay: The Social Network (expected)

Best Animation Picture: Toy Story 3 (totally deserve this)

So there's the short version, remember to click on the link if you want to see the whole winners and nominations. Can't wait for this year awesome movies.

an interview of a different kind

Alright, so today I wanted to write about an experience I had. So as you guys know, I'm still job hunting, which is fine, I've been to couple of interview this month, and many more last month, but nevertheless, it's hard to find a great suitable job. It's hard to choose a job with my educational background that needed people with minimum 5 years experience.

As they say, beggar can't be chooser, so I change my game, I now choose any kind of job that related to either oil company or oil services, whether it be a front desk or a simple admin exec. But today's interview is a lil bit different.

Today's interview is for a position that I thought I never even apply, a position so sacred that I think many people would look in disbelieve, Seri definitely sound like it when I told her. The position I'm talking about is as a Creative Photographer. Yes, you guys might not find it a shocker, but wait until you find out where I applied it.

The company's call, The Picture Company, click on the link to learn more, but in a nut shell, it's a photography studio that specialize in taking pictures of babies, toddlers, families, couples, it is not a simple studio. In this studio, you got to dress up, having fun, making people laugh, plus you got to wear jeans all the time helps too.

The interview was strange for me, I was really nervous since I never had any experience in this kind of things. But thank God for Maggie, who is Maggie? Well she's from Philippines, been here for 5 months and super cute helps too! (God, I really hope she doesn't drop by here)

Anyway, the question was awesome! For example, "if you're were a crayon, what colour would you be?" or "what do you do for fun?". Not a question that talks about what's your experience in handling data, or how do you handle stress, no technical question.

I'm hoping I get this one, but if I don't, it will be a bummer, but I kept trying, optimism is one of my traits. Till next time.

Believe me, all of this is real life, you might see them as tiny miniature, but it's not. So enjoy it, and do try it if you have the time.

In life, there are a lot of secrets that we all want to know, such as the secret recipe in KFC, who wouldn't kill for a secret like that. Another close guarded secret that we all have taste and love, is the recipe to making of Coca-Cola.

I read in Yahoo! that the formula was shown in a journal published in 1979, now the drink however was made on 1886. Coca-Cola rep obviously denied this to be the true formula. Here's the (probably) most guarded secret, you can try making it if you want. Oh, and of course there's alcohol in it, it was 1886!, it was later remove.

The recipe:

Fluid extract of Coca: 3 drams USP

Caffeine: 1 oz
Sugar: 30 (unclear quantity)
Water: 2.5 gal
Lime juice: 2 pints, 1 quart
Vanilla: 1 oz

The secret 7X flavor (use 2 oz of flavor to 5 gals syrup):

Egypt rejoice as Mubarak stepped down

It was a historic day in Egypt and across the globe, when the President (or former) Mubarak has announced that he will step down. This come after the anti-government protesters took over the Tahrir Square in Cairo for a peaceful demonstration, urging the removal of President Mubarak.

A lot has happened that led to the historic day, from millions of protesters, to fighting among the pro-government and the anti-government, towards a much much larger protesters in the last hours that finally yield the intended result.

The former president has done a lot to stay in power in the period of the chaos in Egypt, from completely change his cabinet, to promise of ending his term this September, and recently giving power to his second in command, the vice-president.

But the protesters refuse to give in to all his lies and so call diplomacy. However, as of Friday, the power shift has happen, the weeks of violence and military intervention has now come to an end. And where is Mubarak when all this happened? He was taken out from Cairo to his private retreat in the Red Sea. In fact, the one that make the announcement about the step was his vice-president, now that is what I call cowardice.

The military has take over the government for a while, although they don't have intention on holding to it, stated that a government made by the people will be form. The people of Egypt now demand that the whole government and constitution change, so that a much more fair and transparent government and law can be made.

One this is clear from all this, this kind of protest, where the police had no power to stop, when people of all ages from all different kind of background had enough of 30 years of regime, and when the military decided to step in to protect Egypt and its people, this kind of protest is what most nations afraid of, unless of course if it is fair to all its people.

with family to Genting Highland

We went to Genting Highland on Saturday. The plan came because all the family members are at home, because of the Chinese New Year celebration. It was not a thought out plan. Why did I said it was not a thought out plan? If you have experience going to Genting, during the holiday period, you know what I mean.

This is what I mean, the sea of people are overwhelming.

We woke up early, breakfast and headed towards Genting Skyway (the cable car), but the line was soo long, it took us more than an hour to reach the cable car, and this was at 10 am! If you hate waiting, you should drive up to Genting, instead of waiting, it took about 10 minutes to get up to Genting in a car. Now, the only problem with driving up is finding a parking space, which is close to impossible during the holiday.
It also took 15 minutes to get to the top.

As soon as we reach there, it was already nearing lunch time, so we headed to Kenny Rogers. It was a simple lunch, but very fulfilling, maybe because we are all hungry from queuing, hehehe. Then we decided which rides to take.

For those that have been to Genting know that there are 2 theme park, basically, the indoor and the outdoor theme park, The Genting Outdoor Theme Park, and the First World Indoor Theme Park. They both equally good.

If you decided to try all the ride, it best if you have a one night stay or two night in Genting, there are many rides, you couldn't get on all of it, plus with all the people, it probably take about 10-15 minutes per ride, and if the ride are popular, it will take about about 30 minutes.

Because we only going there for a day, there are not a lot of choices on which ride we could take, and we decided to stick to the indoor theme park. In the end, we decided to go into SnowWorld, since the twins never been into somewhere cold.

We finish the day with a whole one hour of arcade playing, which is fun if you consider the prizes you get from all the coupons you collected. If you want to look at both of the theme park, get a ride with the monorail, it will travel from inside and circling the outdoor theme park.

But, Genting has much more to offer than rides and theme park, there are also museum, gallery, and who could forget the casino. So if you decide to go to Genting, go when it's not a holiday season, book one or two days if you want to try everything. Don't worry about the cold, it's not that bad, unless if it start to rain.

If you came by cable car, be prepare to queue for another 1 hour to go back down, I'm sure by this time, you're so tired, you don't care about anything else except to get back home, cause that's what happened to us. In the end it was a tiresome day, was it fun? No, just because of the shear numbers of people there, it really suck the fun out of you.

AskMen's top 99 most desirable women

It's AskMen.com top 99 women of 2011, I don't get why they made the list so early in the year, but there are a lot of deserving women in the list.

Minka Kelly for once, enter the list with number 99, although it's the last number, you have to give credit to her because she did not made it last year.

Odette Yustman made it again to the list with the number 52, however, it was bad considering last year number 29. But she's still hot, she was even mistaken for the foxy Megan Fox.

Kristen Bell made it to the list at number 48, impressive upgrade from number 76 last year. She is a goddess for the nerd and geek from her role in Heroes and Fanboys.

Olivia Wilde made it to number 30, with last year act in Tron Legacy, it is not strange that she made it, better than last year at number 49.

Emma Watson take the number 17. Impressive if you consider last year number 55. Who have not growing up with the star of Harry Potter? I only hope she landed more major role in movie since the franchise has finish shooting.
So who's the number one on 2011 list? Go to the website to found out. The whole list is also through the link.

The Roomates

Most of us have been to college, and most of us have that one person (or many) that is somewhat annoying to us, even in a small manner.

So here's a look of Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly new movie trailer, The Roommate. Not only that, here's also a video of Leighton Meester PSA, Don't Touch My Shit.

Plus, if you don't know Minka Kelly, here's a sexy new photoshoot with GQ, full photo spread in this link.

The resemblance of this two is uncanny.

Egypt Chaos

For those that haven't heard it, (God! Where do you live?) Egypt is in turmoil the past few days. Protesters from all races, genders and ages gather around Egypt demanding the President Husni Mubarak to step down.

After 30 years of ruling, the people just can't take the abuse of power from the President. Some may said that there are outside forces at work, but if the whole nation participate in this protest, there has to be something wrong with the President way of doing his job.

Egypt is in fact in total chaos, business shut down, there's no way to travel in or out from the country, the country even close down the internet! Never before in modern history has a country shut down the internet.

Here's a link where you get to see the clashes of protesters and police.

The people really hated the police because of the fact they work for the President. Years of torture from them really has got to the boiling point. The police shot their own people in their attempt to safe themselves, how cruel was that?

So the burning of police buildings and properties are justified in the Egyptians' eyes.

When the army take over to protect key infrastructures and maintain peace, the people seems to have no hatred towards them, in fact, they love the army. Even if the President change his government, the people still want one thing, for him to step down.

People with a lot of power, will always be afraid to lose that power.

you won't believe when this is taken

OK, ok? Why am I writing like this? Forget it. I've got something good to share with you. Do you photography? Do you love taking pictures? Well if you love that, then you must love this.

Gizmodo challenge all those that love to take pictures to take pictures at night, that looks like day time. Yes, you read it right. So how do you do it? Easy...by making the exposure longer. Oh for those that don't understand, in simple term, by keep pressing the camera without releasing, so that light could get through and be capture longer.

So in the end, you will have the below photos, I don't know if there are all taken from night, but if they made it the cut, then they must have been. More photos in this link.

So enjoy the pictures, and experiment it yourself. Can't wait to try this.
