TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth; | 5 |
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same, | 10 |
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back. | 15 |
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. |
i like this poem, because it talks about the road less taken..and sometimes...itu bagus utk certain people..maybe the road less taken will have a great impact on you..so which road did u take?the one less traveled?

i always have doubts over this poem.i kinda suspect that the writer kinda regret tak ambil ;the usual road taken'..cube you perhatikan n concentrate each words
nah..the the writer didnt regret..he felt relieve he took the one less travel..sebab dari situ ade banyak kelebihan..
perhaps,i looked at it TOO closely...
you know, there is a contradiction in this poem:
"I shall be telling this with a sigh"
why should he mengeluh if he is totally happy with his choice
and by the tone of this poem,i do not think the narrator is totally satisfied with the choice he made.the tone is kinda 'sad', not 'uplifting'
huhuhu..prolly, coz i pnah took a literature class,i become overcritical+detailed on writings..hehe
